Today's workplaces aren't working. Talking over a boring, cluttered document has become the default means of group interaction. Voices aren't heard, perspectives are lost, and opportunities are missed. Businesses are crying out for collaboration, productivity and innovation, and the future belongs to those with the skills to unlock it — the facilitators.

Packed with tools I've used to train employees across global blue-chip companies, The Path of the Guide is your companion to becoming a force for facilitation within your organisation.

“Incredible things happen around great facilitators. This book shows you how.”

The Story Behind the Book

Why I wrote The Path of the Guide

I became a facilitator before I knew what it was. Working in my first corporate job, I sought out new ways of doing things that made work less monotonous and more productive. It turned out that others recognised the value of it too. It's a path that led me from in-house facilitation, to working in global consultancy, to launching my own business, training facilitators.

Now, I'm on a mission to overthrow today's half-hearted and ineffective collaboration culture.

Companies need more ‘facilitation intrapreneurs’ — fierce advocates of the practice who use it to make work a better place. But it's not easy. Passionate individuals may use their creativity and tenacity to self-start, but they're often operating solo in an organisation that doesn't give due credit to their craft. I know, because I've been there.

The Path of the Guide is the book I wish I had when I started. If you're working on making change within your organisation, I want to be part of your journey.
